About Us
MPGM Music Academy was established in December 2016 by Pandit Geetesh Mishra, with the aim of imparting Hindustani classical music education across classical vocal and instrumental music. Since its inception, the Academy has grown in its size and scope. It trains students across age groups, with a strong emphasis on the building of a good foundation in Indian classical music.

I have been learning from Guru ji (Pt. Gitesh Mishra ji) for more than a year now and enjoying every session of my training under his guidance. His wealth of knowledge on music subject is just mesmerising. Before joining his classes, I had very little understanding of our ancient "Guru-Shishya Parampara" but now I can relate to the wisdom it brings to every student simultaneously. Guruji's style of teaching is all inclusive and very positive. I never heard any negative feedback from him and he is always encouraging for his students to improve from their current level, whatever that level is. I always had a passion for singing and music but had never learnt it formally. MPGM academy under the guidance of Pt Geetesh Mishra ji has helped me to hone my singing skills and fulfil my passion. The way sir taught us gayaki, with a systematic progression from basic sur, taal and raagas has been very effective. Pt Mishraji belongs to an illustrious family that has been in music teaching for several generations. His knowledge of classical music is extremely vast, and his style of teaching is very effective and brings out the best amongst his students.

Learning music from Pt Geetesh Mishra sir is a privilege. I have been learning under his guidance since last 5 year and it's been a wonderful journey. I have been learning under Pt. Geetesh Mishra ji’s guidance for the last three years. I had learnt classical music previously about 23 years ago, but gradually my education and family responsibilities took priority over music. I was, therefore, in search of a Guru who could make me realise my previous training, and help me attain a better understanding of music.
Pt. Geetesh Mishra ji first evaluates a student’s potential to define an individual curriculum for him or her which is the best trait of an able Guru. Therefore even after being in the same group, we still learn individually. He motivates every student to go above and beyond. He helps us in understanding the nuances and tells us minute differences amongst similar ragas.
I am enjoying my learning at MPGM Music Academy under Pandit ji’s guidance, and I am sure I will continue to learn to develop a deep knowledge.

I am Rushang and I am 9 years old. Ever since I was 3, my mother started building up my interest in music and found a teacher. After 1 - 2 years, my mother realized that I was getting little improvement. My mother tried to find a new teacher. She went to a friend and got the number of our respected sir Pt. Geetesh Mishra. For the past 3 - 4 years, I have been with sir.
The good thing about sir is that while he gives us knowledge of music, he never lets us lose interest in music. He always has time to suggest songs for events based on my level. He is also always very patient. I am so thankful to be blessed with a sir like this.

God has been very kind to gift me the discipleship and company of Guruji, Shri Pt. Geetesh Mishra and some amazing fellow students of MPGM academy. Guruji is helping me in fulfilling my childhood dream of learning Indian Classical Music and its different forms of Gaayki.
I still remember the initial days when I was not even able to repeat the alankars correctly, I had very less knowledge of taal, and my heart started thumping when I was asked to sing before anyone. With Guruji’s blessings and his way of teaching, in past 2.5 years of learning with him, my knowledge of swaras and confidence of performing before an audience has grown outstandingly.
And it’s not only music that we learn from him but also, we learn so many human values from him.
